Four girls left means we have four lovely hometown dates to look forward to and four loving families to rip Nick to shreds (or so we hope).
Raven's Hometown Date:
We start in the middle of nowhere to "go mudding" and "climb some grain bins". We have no idea what is going on here, we're a little too city folk for this. They go climbing a grain bin because that is a thing that they do in this town...and then the police comes out of nowhere? This has to be a set up because there is NO WAY….ope, yep - that was her brother. Sneeky, sneeky Miss Raven. They move on and go mudding (assuming this is what mudding is..) and basically they are in a swamp. Guess this is romantic in a weird sort of rom-com type of way?

Time to go visit the parents! Right off the bat we are touched with a miracle story that Raven’s dad is cancer-free! No going to lie, got a bit emotional there ourselves… Mamma and Raven have some life chats. "Can you say I love you Nick in your future?" - good job, hit her with the real tough questions. Nick asks the father for permission to marry his daughter and he seems like he is okay with it. Seems that both her parents trust her judgement about Nick, which we guess is all they really can do.
Rachel's Hometown Date:
Nick starts off with saying that him and Rachel have the "most explosive chemistry" and this is basically a ruined statement due to current events in the Bachelor world. They are totally going to church for their date. He is dressed too nice...he must have known! They are making this date seem so perfect and natural, but we can’t even take this seriously. If anything, we just love Rachel more so we guess that is kind of the point.

So we are upset that we don't get to meet Judge Lindsay on this date, but I assume we will meet him next season. Also, Rachel and her sisters look identical, but we feel like her older sister is going to be a tough one to get by. When Rachel's older sister and husband go and talk to them it is basically like looking into a mirror. Just look at the gif above..it explains everything. It is just weird and awkward, but not as bad as we thought it would be. Nick is actually doing okay with mamma bear here. He really likes her, too bad this means NOTHING! Rachel’s mom says that Nick reminds her of her husband. Little does she know…
Corinne's Hometown Date:
This should be good. We are WAY too excited to meet Raquel. Okay so where else would Corinne take Nick but to a set of boutique retail stores where everyone knows her name. We shouldn't be surprised about this though, right? The fact that this is an ordinary day for Corinne is OUTRAGEOUS. Time to dress Nick up like her little Ken doll and he looks ridiculous. What is he wearing? Why are these clothes so expensive? WHERE THE HECK ARE WE AND WHAT IS THIS MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY SHE SPEAKS OF?! $3,423 for this shopping trip!!! Nick is having anxiety (AS HE SHOULD) and Corinne is just like “whateves”.

Corinne’s dad is probably worried Nick won’t make enough money to support his daughter. The moment we have all been waiting for has finally arrived and we realized that no one in this household would be able to survive without Raquel. Corinne’s father is probably the most intimidating man. This father is going to have a heart attack. He wants to make sure Nick can make a living to help raise a family and make Corinne happy. I think he just called Nick a stay at home mom? Nick is having a conversation with Raquel and she is probably like wtf is going on? She seems like a sweetie. In the end, Nick asks the father for permission and he says yes (even though we all know he means no because Nick is a peasant in comparison to this family).
Vanessa's Hometown Date:

Ohhhh Canadaaaa! Bonjour Montreal! Vanessa and Nick go and visit her students and it is the most adorable thing! Her students love her so much and they are making a scrapbook for Nick and Vanessa. This is honestly so touching. [Photo credit: ABC]
Time to go to Nonna’s house! Speaking as two Italians ourselves, we cannot wait for this big crazy Italian family! Omg all the food and all the people! This family seems legitimately concerned with the future of Nick and Vanessa. Where are they going to live? What will Vanessa’s job be? At least this home seems like a home with a hard ass family with honest concerns with Nick’s intentions. There are so many unknowns with all these relationships and it seems like this family is the only one who has brought them up.

Since Vanessa's parents are divorced, we also got to visit her dad and his wife. This man is adorable and kind of awkward. Nick goes in for the blessing and is SHUT DOWN. This is the most real father we have met so far. He refused to give Nick his blessing because he found out he asked all the other families as well! He eventually gives in, not sure why or how, but regardless, this was a tough day for Vanessa. Maybe Canadian’s are a bit more reserved...or smarter? Sorry, we didn’t say that. And we did not mean to apologize like the Canadian’s we are.
But meanwhile .... back in Brooklyn .... two words: Andi. Dorfmann.
Until next time...
